This regulation arises to address compliance with work schedules and prevent fraud related to uncompensated or unpaid overtime. According to this regulation, companies are required to:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Start a record of the start and end time of the working day for all workers.<\/li>\n\n<li>Keep this information for four years.<\/li>\n\n<li>Make this information available to workers, their representatives, and labor inspectors.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Measures to take to avoid penalties<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To avoid penalties, companies must:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Implement an adequate system for time recording. Infractions can be classified as:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Minor infractions<\/strong>: Fines ranging from 60 to 625 euros. These occur when the company does not adequately inform its workers or does not provide the time records.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Serious violations<\/strong>: Fines from 625 to 6,250 euros. These occur when there are irregularities in the time registration or when the overtime hours worked are not compensated.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Very serious infractions<\/strong>: Fines that can reach up to 187,515 euros. These occur when the permitted annual overtime hours are exceeded or when they are not remunerated.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First examples of sanctions<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the implementation of the time control law, inspections have been carried out in companies to verify compliance. During the first months, 5,363 cases were filed due to non-compliance, with an average fine of 105,776 euros.
